🥩🍳 Steak and Eggs with Crispy Potatoes

A classic hearty breakfast or brunch: juicy steak, fried eggs, and


golden crispy potatoes.

🥔 Ingredients

For the crispy potatoes

  • 3 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or russet), diced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

For the steak

  • 1 ribeye, sirloin, or strip steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 clove garlic (optional)
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

For the eggs

  • 2–4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper

👨‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Crispy Potatoes

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add diced potatoes in a single layer.
  3. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  4. Cook 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally until golden and crispy.

2️⃣ Cook the Steak

  1. Pat the steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet over high heat with oil or butter.
  3. Cook steak 3–4 minutes per side for medium-rare (adjust to preference).
  4. Add garlic and herbs during the last minute and spoon butter over the steak.
  5. Remove and let rest 5 minutes before slicing.

3️⃣ Fry the Eggs

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Crack eggs into the pan.
  3. Cook sunny-side up or over-easy until the whites set.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.

🍽️ Serve

  • Plate crispy potatoes, sliced steak, and eggs together.
  • Optional toppings:
    • chopped parsley
    • hot sauce
    • avocado slices
