🍫 Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients (serves 1)

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons chocolate chips or nuts

Instructions

1️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a microwave-safe mug (10–12 oz size), whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

2️⃣ Add Wet Ingredients

  • Stir in milk, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Fold in chocolate chips or nuts if using.

3️⃣ Microwave

  • Microwave on high for 70–90 seconds, or until the cake has risen and is set but still moist.
  • Be careful not to overcook — it continues to cook slightly in the mug after microwaving.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Let cool 1–2 minutes.
  • Optional toppings: whipped cream, ice cream, chocolate syrup, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
