Shrimp pasta

Posted on February 24, 2026 by Admin

Are you looking for a recipe for shrimp pasta, ideas for serving it, or something else about it? I can give a full recipe with step-by-step instructions if you want. Here’s a simple one to start:

Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients (serves 2–3):

  • 200g spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 250g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Cook the shrimp: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. Make the sauce: In the same pan, add remaining butter, garlic, and chili flakes. Sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Combine: Add cooked pasta, shrimp, and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss well to coat. Add Parmesan and lemon juice, mix again.
  5. Serve: Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.

If you want, I can also give a creamy tomato shrimp pasta version that’s richer and a bit restaurant-style.

Do you want the creamy version too?
