Here’s a quick and delicious Shrimp Pasta recipe — creamy, garlicky, and perfect for a weeknight dinner or special meal. 🍤🍝


🍤 Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients (Serves 2–4)

  • 8 oz (225 g) pasta (spaghetti, linguine, or fettuccine)
  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • ½ cup chicken broth or white wine
  • ½ cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Cook Pasta

  1. Boil pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.

2️⃣ Cook Shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
  4. Remove shrimp and set aside.

3️⃣ Make Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter.
  2. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in chicken broth (or wine) and simmer 2 minutes.
  4. Reduce heat and stir in cream. Cook 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.

4️⃣ Combine

  1. Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet.
  2. Toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed to loosen sauce.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately with garlic bread or a side salad.

Tips

  • For extra flavor, sauté onions or mushrooms with the garlic.
  • Add cherry tomatoes or spinach for more veggies.
  • Use dry white wine for a subtle tang.
