đŸ€ Shrimp Scampi

Shrimp Scampi is a classic Italian-American dish featuring tender shrimp cooked in a buttery, garlicky, and lemony sauce. It’s quick to make and can be served over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

đŸ§Ÿ Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3–4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ÂŒ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • œ cup white wine (or chicken/vegetable broth)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: linguine, spaghetti, or rice for serving

đŸ‘©â€đŸł Instructions

1. Prepare Pasta (Optional)

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions if using. Reserve ÂŒ cup pasta water.

2. Sauté Shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Make Scampi Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic.
  2. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly reduced.

4. Combine and Serve

  • Return shrimp to skillet, tossing to coat in sauce.
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

⭐ Pro Tips:

  • Don’t overcook shrimp—they cook very quickly and become rubbery.
  • Add a splash of cream or Parmesan for a richer sauce.
  • Use fresh lemon zest for a brighter flavor.

I can also give you a restaurant-style Shrimp Scampi recipe with perfectly balanced garlic butter sauce and tender pasta, just like Olive Garden.

Do you want me to do that version?
