đŸ€ Shrimp Scampi

A quick and elegant seafood dish featuring shrimp sautéed in garlic, butter, lemon, and white wine (or broth), often served over pasta or rice.

đŸ§Ÿ Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3–4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ÂŒ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
  • œ cup white wine (or chicken/vegetable broth)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: linguine or spaghetti for serving

đŸ‘©â€đŸł Instructions

1. Cook Pasta (Optional)

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions if serving with noodles. Reserve a bit of pasta water.

2. Sauté Shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil + 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.

3. Make the Scampi Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic.
  2. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add white wine (or broth) and lemon juice, simmer 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.

4. Combine and Finish

  • Return shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat in sauce.
  • Sprinkle fresh parsley on top.
  • Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread.

⭐ Pro Tips:

  • Do not overcook shrimp—they cook very quickly and become rubbery.
  • For richer flavor, add a splash of heavy cream or grated Parmesan.
  • Use fresh lemon zest for an extra bright note.

I can also give you a restaurant-style Shrimp Scampi recipe like you’d get at Olive Garden, with buttery garlic sauce and perfectly tender pasta.

Do you want me to make that version?
