Scallops, Lobster, Garlic Butter

Posted on February 26, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a restaurant-style way to prepare scallops and lobster in garlic butter — rich, decadent, and quick to make.

🦐🦞 Scallops & Lobster in Garlic Butter

Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 8 large sea scallops, patted dry
  • 2 lobster tails (6–8 oz each), split and cleaned
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika or smoked paprika (optional, for color)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep Lobster & Scallops

  • Using kitchen scissors, cut lobster shells lengthwise and gently pull meat up (“piggyback” style).
  • Pat scallops dry and season both lobster and scallops with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2️⃣ Make Garlic Butter

  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Stir in lemon juice. Remove half of the butter mixture for drizzling later.

3️⃣ Cook Lobster

  • Add lobster tails, shell-side down, to skillet.
  • Cook 4–5 minutes per side until meat is opaque. Remove and keep warm.

4️⃣ Cook Scallops

  • Increase heat to medium-high.
  • Sear scallops 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and opaque in the center.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Plate scallops and lobster.
  • Drizzle reserved garlic butter over the top.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and a lemon wedge.

Tips

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan: Cook scallops in batches if needed.
  • Extra flavor: Add a splash of white wine to the butter while cooking lobster.
  • Sides: Serve with mashed potatoes, rice pilaf, or roasted vegetables.

I can also give you a broiled version or a grilled garlic butter seafood platter if you want a slightly different cooking method.

Do you want me to make one of those versions?
