Saltine Cracker Toffe

Posted on March 15, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a sweet and crunchy treat: Saltine Cracker Toffee — buttery, salty, and chocolatey. 🍫🍪✨

Ingredients

  • 40–50 Saltine Crackers (enough to cover a baking sheet)
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 cups Chocolate Chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • Optional toppings: Chopped Nuts, sea salt

Instructions

  1. Prep the pan
    • Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
    • Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer to cover the bottom.
  2. Make the toffee
    • In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in brown sugar.
    • Bring to a boil for 3–5 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly.
    • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  3. Pour over crackers
    • Immediately pour the hot toffee evenly over the saltine crackers. Spread to cover all pieces.
  4. Bake
    • Optional: bake at 175°C (350°F) for 5–8 minutes to let the toffee set slightly.
  5. Add chocolate
    • Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee.
    • Let sit 5 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
    • Add optional nuts or sea salt.
  6. Cool & cut
    • Refrigerate or let sit at room temperature until fully set (about 1–2 hours).
    • Lift out of pan using parchment paper and cut into squares.

Tips

  • Don’t overboil the toffee — it will harden too quickly and become brittle.
  • Use parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.

I can also give a microwave version of Saltine Cracker Toffee that’s ready in under 10 minutes if you want a super quick option. Do you want that version?
