🥔 Roasted Potatoes

Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, roasted potatoes are a simple and versatile side dish that pairs with almost any meal.


🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold, red, or russet), washed and cut into 1–2 inch pieces
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary, thyme, or parsley (optional)

🔪 Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Toss potato pieces with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, and herbs.
  3. Spread potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet.

🍳 Roasting

  • Roast 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crisp on edges.
  • Check tenderness with a fork; potatoes should be soft inside.

  • For extra crunch, parboil potatoes for 5 minutes before roasting.
  • Use a heavy baking sheet or cast-iron skillet for better browning.
  • Fresh herbs can be added after roasting for more aroma.
