Here’s a versatile, classic Quiche recipe — savory, creamy, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a light dinner.

🥧 Classic Quiche

Ingredients (1 9-inch quiche)

Crust (optional, use store-bought for convenience):

  • 1 9-inch pie crust (homemade or pre-made)

Filling:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyère work well)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 cup filling extras: cooked bacon, ham, spinach, mushrooms, onions, or peppers

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • If using a raw crust, bake blind (with pie weights or beans) 8–10 minutes until slightly set.

2️⃣ Prepare Filling

  • Whisk eggs, cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  • Stir in cheese and your choice of cooked fillings.

3️⃣ Assemble Quiche

  • Pour egg mixture into prepared crust.
  • Spread evenly.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 35–45 minutes, until the quiche is set and golden on top.
  • A knife inserted in the center should come out clean.

5️⃣ Cool & Serve

  • Let quiche rest 10 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips & Variations

  • Vegetarian: Use spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, or zucchini.
  • Meat lovers: Bacon, ham, or cooked sausage works great.
  • Cheese combos: Swiss, cheddar, Gruyère, or feta.
  • Crustless version: Grease a pie pan and bake without crust for a lower-carb quiche.

If you want, I can also give you a make-ahead mini quiche recipe perfect for brunch buffets or freezing for later.
