Here’s a simple, juicy pan-seared pork chops recipe with great flavor and a golden crust.


🍖 Pan-Seared Pork Chops

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, smashed
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

  • Pat pork chops dry.
  • Season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Let sit at room temp for 15–20 minutes.

2️⃣ Sear

  • Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add pork chops and sear 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown.

3️⃣ Baste

  • Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add butter, garlic, and herbs.
  • Spoon melted butter over chops for 1–2 minutes.

4️⃣ Check temperature

  • Cook until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove and rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

🍯 Optional Honey Garlic Glaze

In the same pan, add:

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Simmer 2–3 minutes and spoon over chops.


Serve With

  • Mashed potatoes
  • Oven-roasted vegetables
  • Rice or buttered noodles
  • Applesauce (classic pairing)
