🥞 Classic Pancakes

Fluffy, golden pancakes are a breakfast favorite and can be served with syrup, butter, fresh fruit, or any toppings you love.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, beat together milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.

3. Combine

  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  • Batter should be slightly lumpy; do not overmix.

4. Cook Pancakes

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  2. Pour ¼ cup of batter per pancake onto the skillet.
  3. Cook 2–3 minutes until bubbles form on top and edges look set.
  4. Flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

5. Serve

  • Stack pancakes and top with maple syrup, fresh fruit, whipped cream, or nuts.

⭐ Pro Tips:

  • Let batter rest 5–10 minutes before cooking for fluffier pancakes.
  • Use medium heat; too high burns the outside while leaving the inside raw.
  • For extra fluffiness, separate the egg, beat the white to stiff peaks, and fold in last.

I can also provide a restaurant-style pancake recipe that’s ultra-fluffy, light, and golden brown—perfect for brunch or special occasions.

Do you want me to make that version?
