Here’s a crispy, golden oven-fried potatoes recipe — crunchy outside, fluffy inside, and packed with flavor.


🥔 Crispy Oven-Fried Potatoes

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika (smoked paprika is great)
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2–1 tsp salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for extra crispiness)
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2️⃣ Prep potatoes

  • Cut potatoes into wedges or bite-sized cubes.
  • Soak in cold water 20–30 minutes (optional but helps crispiness).
  • Drain and dry thoroughly with towels.

3️⃣ Season

  • Toss potatoes with oil, spices, salt, pepper, and cornstarch if using.
  • Spread in a single layer — don’t overcrowd.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Bake 25–35 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  • For extra crisp, broil the last 2–3 minutes.

5️⃣ Serve

Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot.


Flavor Variations

  • Add grated Parmesan during the last 5 minutes
  • Toss with fresh rosemary before baking
  • Finish with a squeeze of lemon
  • Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning for a spicy kick
