Instructions

1. Prepare the Base

  1. Mix crushed cookies with melted butter until combined.
  2. Press mixture into the bottom of a serving dish or individual cups.
  3. Chill in the fridge while preparing the custard.

2. Make the Chocolate Custard

  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and cornstarch.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens (about 5–7 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Let it cool slightly, then pour over the cookie base.

3. Make the Whipped Cream Layer

  1. In a bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
  2. Spread whipped cream over the cooled chocolate custard layer.

4. Chill and Serve

  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • Garnish with chocolate shavings, a dusting of cocoa powder, or fresh berries before serving.
