🍫 No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars are an easy, chewy, and chocolatey treat that comes together in minutes without an oven. Perfect for snacks, lunchboxes, or dessert.


🥄 Ingredients (Makes ~12 bars)

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup peanut butter (or any nut/seed butter)
  • ½ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Prepare pan: Line an 8×8-inch (or 9×9-inch) baking pan with parchment paper.

2️⃣ Make oat base: In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt butter, peanut butter, and honey together. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, salt, and oats.

3️⃣ Press into pan: Transfer mixture into the prepared pan and press down firmly into an even layer.

4️⃣ Add chocolate layer: Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl (30-second intervals, stirring in between) or in a double boiler. Pour over oat layer and spread evenly.

5️⃣ Chill: Refrigerate at least 1–2 hours until firm.

6️⃣ Slice & serve: Lift out of pan using parchment paper and cut into bars. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

  • Press firmly: Ensures bars hold together when cut.
  • Nut-free option: Use sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter.
  • Add-ins: Mix in shredded coconut, chopped nuts, or mini chocolate chips for extra texture.
  • Room temperature: Keep in fridge if peanut butter is soft or warm; bars may soften at room temp.
