Here’s a classic homemade Meatloaf recipe—juicy, flavorful, and perfect for a family dinner. 🥩🍞


Ingredients

  • 500–700 g ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Topping (Optional Glaze)

  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • Lightly grease a loaf pan or baking dish.

2. Mix Ingredients

  • In a large bowl combine:
    • ground beef
    • breadcrumbs
    • egg
    • onion
    • garlic
    • milk
    • ketchup
    • salt and pepper
    • Worcestershire sauce
  • Mix gently until combined (don’t overmix).

3. Shape the Meatloaf

  • Shape mixture into a loaf shape and place in the pan.

4. Add Glaze

  • Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard.
  • Spread over the top of the meatloaf.

5. Bake

  • Bake 50–60 minutes until cooked through.

6. Rest and Serve

  • Let the meatloaf rest 10 minutes before slicing.
