🍝 Classic Meatballs

Meatballs are juicy, flavorful balls of seasoned ground meat. They’re great with pasta, in sandwiches, or served with sauces and rice.

🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying or baking brush)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Prepare the Mixture

  1. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk; let soak 2 minutes.
  2. Add ground meat, egg, garlic, Parmesan, parsley, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix gently until just combined (do not overmix).

2. Shape Meatballs

  • Form mixture into 1–1½ inch balls (about golf-ball size).

3. Cook the Meatballs

Pan-Fry Method:

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook meatballs 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until browned and cooked through.

Oven Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place meatballs on a lined baking sheet.
  3. Bake 18–20 minutes until fully cooked.

4. Serve

  • Toss with marinara sauce and pasta.
  • Add to meatball subs, soups, or serve with rice.

⭐ Pro Tips:

  • Use a mix of beef and pork for extra juicy meatballs.
  • Wet your hands when rolling to prevent sticking.
  • Simmer cooked meatballs in sauce 10 minutes for deeper flavor.
