Lemon chicken

Here’s a simple and tasty way to make lemon chicken:


Ingredients (Serves 2–3)

  • 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 lemon (zest + juice)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey or sugar (optional, balances acidity)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken: Pat chicken dry, season with salt, pepper, and a little lemon zest.
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the lemon sauce: In the same pan, add garlic and sauté 30 seconds. Add lemon juice, honey, and a splash of water or chicken broth. Let simmer 2–3 minutes.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to the pan, spoon sauce over, and let it coat the chicken for another 2 minutes.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh herbs and extra lemon slices. Serve with rice, potatoes, or a fresh salad.
