🍯 Honey Teriyaki Sauce

Honey teriyaki sauce is a sweet and savory sauce commonly used for chicken, beef, salmon, stir-fries, and grilled dishes. It combines soy sauce, honey, garlic, and ginger for a rich glaze.

🥢 Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water (to mix with cornstarch)

👨‍🍳 Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, honey, water, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Mix cornstarch with 2 tbsp water in a small bowl to make a slurry.
  4. Slowly add the slurry to the sauce while stirring.
  5. Cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

🍗 How to Use It

  • Brush on grilled or baked chicken
  • Toss with stir-fried vegetables and noodles
  • Glaze salmon or shrimp
  • Use as a marinade for beef or chicken

  • Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
  • Add sesame oil for extra Asian flavor.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
