Here’s a simple and delicious way to make Grilled Potatoes in Foil — tender, flavorful, and perfect for the grill. 🥔🔥
Ingredients (serves 2–4)
- 4 medium Potatoes, diced or sliced into 1–2 cm pieces
- 2–3 tbsp Olive Oil or melted butter
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Dried Herbs (thyme, rosemary, or Italian seasoning)
- Optional: Parmesan Cheese or Chopped Parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare potatoes
- Wash and dice potatoes into even pieces.
- Toss in a bowl with olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.
- Wrap in foil
- Place the seasoned potatoes on a large sheet of aluminum foil.
- Fold foil into a sealed packet, leaving space for steam to circulate.
- Grill
- Preheat grill to medium heat (about 190–200°C / 375–400°F).
- Place foil packet on the grill and cook for 20–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until potatoes are tender.
- Finish & serve
- Carefully open the foil (steam will be hot!).
- Optional: sprinkle with Parmesan cheese or fresh parsley. Serve hot.
Tips
- Use small or evenly diced potatoes for faster, uniform cooking.
- Add onion, bell pepper, or bacon bits inside the foil packet for extra flavor.
- Foil packets also work in the oven at 200°C / 400°F for 25–30 minutes if you don’t have a grill.
I can also give a cheesy loaded foil potato packet version with bacon, cheese, and green onions for a hearty side. Do you want that version?
