Garlic butter lobster and scallops

Posted on April 13, 2026 by Admin

Garlic butter lobster and scallops is a luxurious, restaurant-style dish that’s surprisingly quick to make at home. It’s rich, aromatic, and perfect for a special meal.

🦞🧄 Garlic Butter Lobster & Scallops

Ingredients:

  • 2 lobster tails (cut in half lengthwise)
  • 200–250g sea scallops (cleaned, patted dry)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 4–5 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt & black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley or coriander (chopped)

Instructions:

1. Prep the seafood

  • Pat scallops completely dry (this is key for a good sear).
  • Season scallops and lobster with salt, pepper, and paprika.

2. Cook the lobster

  • Heat 1 tbsp butter + olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  • Place lobster tails flesh-side down and cook 3–4 minutes.
  • Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes until opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Sear the scallops

  • In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
  • Place scallops in a single layer (don’t overcrowd).
  • Sear 2–3 minutes per side until golden crust forms. Remove.

4. Make garlic butter sauce

  • Lower heat, add remaining butter.
  • Add garlic and cook until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  • Stir in lemon juice.

5. Combine

  • Return lobster and scallops to the pan.
  • Spoon garlic butter over them and cook 1–2 minutes.

🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Serve with pasta, rice, or crusty bread
  • Pair with sautéed vegetables or a fresh salad

🔥 Tips for best results:

  • Dry scallops = perfect golden crust
  • Don’t overcook seafood (it gets rubbery fast)
  • Use fresh garlic and real butter for best flavor

If you want, I can also give you a restaurant-style creamy garlic version or a spicy Cajun twist 🌶️
