Fettuccine Alfredo

Posted on March 15, 2026 by Admin

Fettuccine Alfredo 🍝🧈 is a classic Italian-American pasta dish made with fettuccine noodles tossed in a rich, creamy sauce of butter, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. It’s indulgent, smooth, and perfect for a quick restaurant-style meal at home.

Ingredients

  • 300 g (10 oz) Fettuccine
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1–1½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the pasta

  • Boil fettuccine in salted water until al dente.
  • Drain, reserving a little pasta water.

2. Make the sauce

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add heavy cream and simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  • Season with salt and black pepper.

3. Combine

  • Toss the cooked fettuccine in the sauce.
  • If needed, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

4. Serve

  • Plate the pasta and sprinkle with parsley.
  • Optional: top with extra Parmesan cheese.

Tips & Variations

  • Protein additions: grilled chicken, shrimp, or bacon.
  • Vegetables: broccoli, peas, or spinach pair well.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor—pre-grated cheese can be grainy.

If you want, I can also give you:

  • A restaurant-style Fettuccine Alfredo recipe that’s extra creamy and silky 🍽️
  • A lighter version that still tastes indulgent but uses less cream.
