Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 small head of cabbage, thinly sliced (~4 cups)
  • 2 carrots, shredded
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced (or 1 tsp ground ginger)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp sriracha or chili sauce (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, extra green onions

Instructions

  1. Cook the Meat:
    • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add ground meat and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add Aromatics:
    • Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30–60 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add Vegetables:
    • Add cabbage and carrots.
    • Stir-fry for 5–7 minutes until cabbage is wilted but still slightly crunchy.
  4. Season:
    • Add soy sauce, sesame oil, sriracha, salt, and pepper.
