Crockpot steak bites

Posted on March 25, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a tender, flavorful recipe for Crockpot Steak Bites—juicy pieces of beef slow-cooked in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients (Serves 4–6)

  • 2 lbs (900 g) beef steak (sirloin, chuck, or stew meat), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp dried thyme (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak:
    • Pat steak pieces dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
  2. Optional sear (for extra flavor):
    • Quickly sear the steak bites in a hot skillet for 1–2 minutes per side, then transfer to the crockpot.
  3. Add to crockpot:
    • Place steak bites in the slow cooker.
    • Add garlic, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and beef broth.
    • Stir gently to coat.
  4. Cook:
    • Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or high for 3–4 hours until tender.
  5. Serve:
    • Spoon sauce over the steak bites and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
    • Serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread.

Tips & Variations

  • Add mushrooms or onions for extra depth.
  • Stir in a splash of soy sauce for a richer umami flavor.
  • For a thicker sauce, mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with water and stir in during the last 20 minutes.

✅ Tip: Chuck steak works best for slow cooking—it becomes incredibly tender and absorbs all the flavors.

If you want, I can give you a garlic butter stovetop version that cooks in under 20 minutes with a crispy sear.
