Crispy Fried Mushrooms

Posted on April 5, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a crispy fried mushrooms recipe—golden, crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside 🍄✨ Perfect as an appetizer or snack.

🍄 Crispy Fried Mushrooms

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 250 g (about 2 cups) button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and trimmed
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1–2 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying (vegetable or canola)

Instructions

1. Prep mushrooms

  • Pat mushrooms dry
  • Leave small mushrooms whole; halve or quarter larger ones

2. Set up dredging station

  • Bowl 1: flour + a pinch of salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder
  • Bowl 2: beaten eggs
  • Bowl 3: breadcrumbs

3. Coat mushrooms

  • Dredge mushrooms in flour → dip in egg → coat with breadcrumbs
  • Press breadcrumbs gently to adhere

4. Fry

Deep-fry method:

  • Heat oil in a pan to 175°C (350°F)
  • Fry mushrooms in batches 2–3 minutes until golden brown
  • Drain on paper towels

Air fryer method (healthier):

  • Preheat air fryer to 180°C (360°F)
  • Spray mushrooms lightly with oil
  • Air fry 8–10 minutes, shaking basket halfway

5. Serve

  • Serve hot with ranch, garlic mayo, or chili sauce

🔥 Tips

  • Panko breadcrumbs give extra crunch
  • Don’t overcrowd pan or basket
  • Optional: sprinkle parmesan cheese over hot mushrooms for extra flavor
  • For an extra kick, add chili powder or cayenne to the flour mixture

If you want, I can give you a garlic butter version where fried mushrooms are tossed in garlic butter after frying—super flavorful and restaurant-style 🍄🧈

Do you want me to do that?
