Creamy Ranch Chicken

Posted on January 28, 2026 by Admin

Oh yes 😄 Creamy Ranch Chicken is a rich, flavorful, and super easy dish—perfect for a weeknight dinner with minimal fuss. Here’s a full recipe:

Creamy Ranch Chicken

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional for extra richness)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook the chicken

  1. Season chicken breasts lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden (it doesn’t need to be fully cooked, it will finish in the sauce). Remove and set aside.

2. Make the creamy ranch sauce

  1. In the same skillet, lower heat to medium.
  2. Add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the pan.
  3. Stir in heavy cream and ranch seasoning until smooth.
  4. Optional: Add shredded cheddar cheese and stir until melted and creamy.

3. Combine and simmer

  1. Return chicken breasts to the skillet.
  2. Spoon sauce over chicken.
  3. Simmer on low 10–15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).

4. Serve

  • Spoon creamy ranch sauce over the chicken.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired.
  • Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, pasta, or roasted vegetables.

Tips

  • Extra flavor: Add sautéed mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers to the sauce.
  • Thicker sauce: Let sauce simmer a few extra minutes uncovered.
  • Quick version: Use pre-cooked chicken (rotisserie) and just warm in the creamy ranch sauce.

I can also give a crockpot version where you dump chicken, ranch mix, cream, and broth in the slow cooker for 4 hours—super hands-off and extra tender.

Do you want me to do that?
