🥗 Crawfish Cucumber Salad
A light, refreshing salad featuring tender crawfish tails, crisp cucumbers, and a tangy, creamy dressing — perfect for summer or as a seafood side dish.
🛒 Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1 cup cooked crawfish tails (fresh or thawed from frozen)
- 1 large cucumber, thinly sliced or diced
- ½ small red onion, thinly sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1–2 tsp lemon juice or lime juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- ½ tsp smoked paprika or Cajun seasoning
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Optional garnish: chopped fresh parsley or chives
🔥 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep vegetables and crawfish
- Peel and slice cucumber thinly, or dice for a chunkier salad.
- Slice red onion thinly.
- Drain crawfish tails if necessary.
2️⃣ Make dressing
- In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon or lime juice, mustard (if using), smoked paprika or Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
3️⃣ Combine ingredients
- In a large bowl, gently toss cucumbers, red onion, and crawfish with the dressing until evenly coated.
4️⃣ Chill & serve
- Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Garnish with chopped parsley or chives before serving.
🌿 Tips & Variations
- Add diced celery or bell peppers for extra crunch.
- Substitute Greek yogurt for some or all of the mayonnaise for a lighter version.
