Club sandwich

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Admin

Ah, the classic club sandwich—triple-layered, crispy, and packed with flavors. Here’s a step-by-step recipe to make it just like the ones in cafes:

Ingredients (serves 1–2)

  • 3 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or your choice)
  • 2–3 slices cooked turkey or chicken breast
  • 2–3 slices cooked bacon
  • 1–2 slices cheddar or Swiss cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Mayonnaise
  • Butter (optional, for toasting)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread:
    • Lightly butter the bread slices if desired, then toast until golden brown.
  2. Prepare the layers:
    • Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toast.
    • First layer: Place lettuce, tomato slices, turkey or chicken, and a slice of cheese (optional). Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
    • Second layer: Add another slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side down. Then layer bacon, lettuce, tomato, and more turkey or chicken if desired.
  3. Top and secure:
    • Place the final slice of bread on top.
    • Optional: Insert toothpicks in the corners to hold the sandwich together.
  4. Serve:
    • Cut diagonally into halves or quarters.
    • Serve with fries, chips, or a pickle on the side.

Tips:

  • You can swap turkey/chicken for ham or roast beef.
  • For extra flavor, spread a little mustard or pesto along with the mayo.
  • Club sandwiches are best fresh and warm, so serve immediately.

If you want, I can also give a gourmet club sandwich version with avocado, grilled chicken, and a spicy mayo—it’s a step up from the classic but still easy to make.

Do you want the gourmet version?
