🌀🍞 Cinnamon Rolls

Cinnamon rolls are soft, fluffy sweet buns filled with cinnamon sugar and topped with a creamy glaze or icing. They’re warm, gooey, and perfect for breakfast or dessert.


🧾 Ingredients:

Dough:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup butter (melted)

Filling:

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter (softened)

Icing:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Make dough

  • Mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar (let sit 5 minutes)
  • Add flour, salt, egg, and melted butter
  • Knead until smooth and soft
  • Cover and let rise for 1 hour

2. Roll & fill

  • Roll dough into a rectangle
  • Spread softened butter
  • Sprinkle cinnamon + brown sugar evenly

3. Shape rolls

  • Roll tightly into a log
  • Cut into equal slices

4. Second rise

  • Place in a greased tray
  • Let rise for 20–30 minutes

5. Bake

  • Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes until golden

6. Add icing

  • Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla
  • Drizzle over warm rolls

  • With coffee or tea ☕
  • As a dessert with ice cream 🍦
  • Warm with extra glaze

  • Don’t overbake or they’ll dry out
  • Use warm milk (not hot) to activate yeast
  • Roll tightly for perfect swirl layers
