Instructions

1. Prep Oven & Pans

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, beat eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Gradually add wet to dry and mix until just combined.

4. Add Boiling Water

  • Stir in boiling water carefully (batter will be thin — that’s okay!).

5. Bake

  • Pour batter evenly into pans.
  • Bake 30–35 min or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 min in pan, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.

6. Frost & Serve

  • Frost with your favorite frosting.
