🍫 Easy Moist Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

Dry ingredients:

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar

Wet ingredients:

  • 1 cup warm water (or coffee for deeper chocolate flavor)
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Optional frosting:

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp butter, softened
  • 1–2 tbsp milk

Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease an 8- or 9-inch cake pan (or line with parchment paper).

2️⃣ Mix dry ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Add wet ingredients

  • Stir in warm water, oil, vinegar, and vanilla until smooth.

4️⃣ Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let cool completely before frosting.

5️⃣ Optional frosting

  • Mix powdered sugar, cocoa, butter, and milk until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
