Ingredients

Crust

  • 1½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs (Oreos or chocolate graham crackers)
  • 5 tbsp butter, melted

Caramel Layer

  • ¾ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt

Chocolate Filling

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Toppings (optional but elite)

  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Extra caramel drizzle
  • Flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Make the crust
    Mix cookie crumbs with melted butter. Press firmly into a 9-inch pie dish (bottom and sides).
    Chill for 20 minutes (or bake at 350°F / 175°C for 8–10 min, then cool).
  2. Caramel layer
    Pour caramel sauce evenly over the chilled crust. Sprinkle a little sea salt if you like that sweet-salty vibe.
    Chill 15 minutes to set.
  3. Chocolate filling
    Heat heavy cream until just simmering (don’t boil).
    Pour over chocolate and butter. Let sit 2 minutes, then stir until smooth. Add vanilla.
  4. Assemble
    Pour chocolate filling over the caramel layer. Smooth the top.
  5. Chill
    Refrigerate at least 3–4 hours, until fully set.
  6. Serve
    Top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and chocolate shavings.

Pro tips

  • For extra drama: use dark chocolate and salted caramel
  • Want it firmer? Add ½ tsp gelatin bloomed in cream
  • For a no-bake shortcut: store-bought crust works fine
