Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry

Posted on March 12, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a quick and tasty Chicken Asparagus Stir Fry recipe—perfect for a healthy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients (serves 2–4)

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (optional)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice or noodles, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce:
In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), and honey or sugar. Set aside.
  2. Cook the chicken:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add chicken slices and cook until browned and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. Cook the asparagus:
Add the remaining oil to the pan. Sauté asparagus, garlic, and ginger for 3–4 minutes until crisp-tender.
  4. Combine and stir-fry:
Return the chicken to the pan. Pour the sauce over the chicken and asparagus, tossing to coat. Cook another 1–2 minutes until everything is hot and glossy.
  5. Serve:
Serve immediately over steamed rice or noodles. Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if you like a little heat.

💡 Tips:

  • Slice chicken thinly for faster cooking and tenderness.
  • You can add other veggies like bell peppers, carrots, or snow peas for more color and texture.
  • For extra flavor, drizzle with a little sesame oil just before serving.

If you want, I can give a 10-minute high-speed stir-fry version that’s perfect for busy weeknights but just as flavorful.
