Classic Cheeseburger

Ingredients (4 servings)

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo
  • Optional extras: bacon, avocado, sautéed mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Form the patties
    Divide ground beef into 4 equal portions. Gently shape into patties about ¾-inch thick.
    Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the patties
    • Stovetop / Grill: Preheat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook patties 3–5 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness.

  3. Toast the buns
