🧀 Cheddar Bread

Ingredients (Makes 1 loaf)

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional for extra flavor)
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and cheddar cheese.
  • Stir in Parmesan if using.

3️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, melted butter, and egg until smooth.

4️⃣ Combine

  • Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.
  • Stir gently until just combined — don’t overmix.
  • Batter will be slightly thick.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
