“Cake Mix Cobbler

Posted on April 7, 2026 by Admin

Cake Mix Cobbler is a super simple, crowd-pleasing dessert. It combines store-bought cake mix with fresh or canned fruit for a quick, soft, gooey cobbler.

🍓 Ingredients

Fruit layer (choose one or mix):

  • 4 cups fresh or canned fruit (peaches, berries, apples, or cherries)
  • 1/4–1/2 cup sugar (depending on fruit sweetness)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (optional)

Cake layer:

  • 1 box yellow or white cake mix (around 15–16 oz)
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup milk or water if cake mix is very dry

👩‍🍳 Method

1. Preheat oven

  • 175°C (350°F)
  • Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish

2. Prepare fruit

  • If using fresh fruit, toss with sugar and cinnamon
  • Spread fruit evenly in the baking dish

3. Add cake mix

  • Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the fruit
  • Drizzle melted butter over the top
  • Optional: sprinkle a little extra sugar for crunch

4. Bake

  • 35–45 minutes until top is golden and bubbly
  • Serve warm

🍨 Serving

  • With ice cream or whipped cream
  • Can be stored covered for 1–2 days

💡 Tips

  • No need to mix cake mix—just sprinkle it!
  • Berries or stone fruits work best for juicy cobblers
  • Can add a pinch of nutmeg or ginger for extra flavor
  • Use salted butter for a slightly richer taste

If you want, I can give a quick microwave version that’s ready in 10 minutes or a desi-style twist with condensed milk and cardamom.

Do you want the microwave version?
