🍤🍣 Cajun Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo

A rich, creamy pasta dish with bold Cajun spices, tender salmon, and juicy shrimp tossed in a garlic Parmesan Alfredo sauce.

🥄 Ingredients

  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 salmon fillet (about 6–8 oz)
  • 8–10 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup chicken broth or pasta water
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook Pasta

  • Cook fettuccine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water and drain.

2️⃣ Season Seafood

  • Rub salmon and shrimp with Cajun seasoning.

3️⃣ Cook Salmon

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook salmon 4–5 minutes per side until flaky. Remove and break into chunks.

4️⃣ Cook Shrimp

  • In the same pan, cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until pink. Remove.

5️⃣ Make Alfredo Sauce

  • Add butter and garlic to the skillet.
  • Pour in heavy cream and broth, simmer 2–3 minutes.
  • Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.

6️⃣ Combine

  • Add pasta, salmon, and shrimp to the sauce. Toss gently.
  • Add pasta water if needed for creaminess.

7️⃣ Serve

  • Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.

🔥 Blackened Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo

This version uses blackened seasoning and a hot sear, giving the seafood a smoky, slightly spicy crust.

🥄 Ingredients

  • Same as above, but replace Cajun seasoning with blackened seasoning

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Season salmon and shrimp generously with blackened seasoning.
2️⃣ Heat a skillet until very hot with a little oil.
3️⃣ Cook salmon until a dark spicy crust forms (about 3–4 minutes per side).
4️⃣ Cook shrimp quickly in the same pan.
5️⃣ Prepare Alfredo sauce the same way and combine with pasta and seafood.

⭐ Difference Between Cajun & Blackened

  • Cajun: Spicy but balanced, mixed into seasoning and sauce.
  • Blackened: Heavily seasoned and seared in a hot pan for a smoky crust.

💡 Pro Tips

  • Use fresh grated Parmesan for smoother sauce.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • A squeeze of lemon juice brightens the dish.
