Cabbage Wedges 🥬

Cabbage wedges are a simple and flavorful way to serve cabbage, often roasted or grilled in large wedges with seasonings. This method keeps the leaves intact while adding caramelized edges and deep flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage
  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, or parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven
    Set oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare cabbage
Cut the cabbage into 4–8 wedges, keeping the core intact so the leaves hold together.
  3. Season
Brush wedges with olive oil or butter. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  4. Roast
Place wedges on a baking sheet, cut side down. Roast for 20–25 minutes, then flip and roast another 10–15 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Serve
Optionally sprinkle with grated Parmesan or drizzle with lemon juice for extra flavor.

Serving Ideas 🍽️

  • Serve as a side with roasted chicken, pork chops, or steak
  • Pair with a drizzle of balsamic glaze
  • Add crispy bacon bits or toasted nuts for crunch

💡 Tip: For smoky flavor, grill cabbage wedges on a barbecue for 8–10 minutes per side instead of roasting.

I can also provide a creamy baked cabbage wedge recipe with cheese and breadcrumbs if you want a richer version.
