Buffalo wing

Posted on March 18, 2026 by Admin

Buffalo Wings are crispy chicken wings tossed in a tangy, spicy, buttery sauce—classic game-day food and perfect with dips. Here’s how to make them at home:

🍗 Ingredients

For the wings:

  • 1 kg chicken wings (split into flats & drumettes)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (for crispiness)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For the Buffalo sauce:

  • ¼ cup hot sauce (like Frank’s style)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (optional, for tang)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika

🔥 Instructions

1. Prep the wings

Pat wings completely dry (very important for crispiness). Toss with baking powder, salt, and pepper.

2. Cook the wings

Oven method:

  • Preheat to 220°C (425°F)
  • Place wings on a rack over a tray
  • Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until crispy

OR Air fryer:

  • Cook at 200°C (400°F) for 20–25 minutes, shaking halfway

3. Make the sauce

In a small pan, melt butter and mix in hot sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, and paprika. Heat gently—don’t boil.

4. Toss

Place hot wings in a bowl and toss with the sauce until fully coated.

🧀 Serving Ideas

  • Serve with ranch or blue cheese dip
  • Add celery and carrot sticks on the side
  • Sprinkle with parsley for presentation

🌶️ Heat Levels

  • Mild: Add more butter, less hot sauce
  • Medium: Follow recipe
  • Extra hot: Add cayenne or chili flakes

🔥 Pro Tips

  • Baking powder (not baking soda) makes skin extra crispy
  • Dry wings = crispy wings
  • Toss wings in sauce just before serving to keep them crisp

If you want, I can give you a restaurant-style extra crispy fried version, honey buffalo wings, or a desi spicy twist.
