Buffalo wing

Posted on February 27, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic recipe for Buffalo Wings—crispy, spicy, and perfect for game days, parties, or just a tasty snack:

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into drumettes and flats)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep the wings:
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps them crisp up. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Cook the wings:
Oven method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place wings on a baking sheet lined with foil and a wire rack. Bake 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Air fryer method: Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Deep fry method: Heat oil to 375°F (190°C) and fry wings 8–10 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  3. Make the Buffalo sauce:
In a small saucepan over low heat, combine hot sauce and melted butter. Stir until smooth.
  4. Toss wings in sauce:
Place cooked wings in a large bowl. Pour the Buffalo sauce over them and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Serve:
Serve hot with celery sticks and blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra crispy: Toss wings in a little baking powder before baking (not baking soda!) to help them crisp.
  • Milder version: Reduce hot sauce or mix with a little honey for sweetness.
  • Spicy twist: Add cayenne pepper, smoked paprika, or hot chili flakes to the sauce.
  • Flavor variations: Try garlic Parmesan, teriyaki, or barbecue instead of classic Buffalo.

These wings are crispy, saucy, and perfectly spicy, making them an all-time favorite finger food.

If you want, I can also give a slow-cooker Buffalo wings version that’s easy and doesn’t require frying. Do you want that version?
