BBQ pork ribs

Posted on March 24, 2026 by Admin

Here’s a classic BBQ Pork Ribs recipe—tender, flavorful, and perfect for grilling or oven-baking.

BBQ Pork Ribs

Ingredients (2–3 lbs / 900–1,400 g ribs)

  • 2–3 lbs pork ribs (baby back or spare ribs)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick)
  • 1 cup (240 ml) BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven or grill
    • Oven: 300°F (150°C)
    • Grill: Medium-low heat
  2. Prepare the ribs
    • Remove the silver skin/membrane from the back of the ribs.
    • Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
    • Rub the spice mix evenly over both sides of the ribs.
  3. Cook the ribs (oven method)
    • Wrap ribs in foil and place on a baking sheet.
    • Bake for 2.5–3 hours until tender.
  4. Cook the ribs (grill method)
    • Place ribs over indirect heat on the grill.
    • Cover and cook 2–3 hours until meat is tender and pulls away from the bone.
  5. Add BBQ sauce
    • Remove foil or move ribs to direct heat.
    • Brush generously with BBQ sauce.
    • Cook another 10–15 minutes, turning and basting occasionally, until the sauce caramelizes.
  6. Serve
    • Slice between bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce, coleslaw, or corn on the cob.

Tips

  • For extra smoky flavor, add a few wood chips to the grill.
  • Let ribs rest 10 minutes before slicing for juicier meat.
  • Leftovers can be reheated or shredded for sandwiches.

If you want, I can also give a slow cooker BBQ pork ribs version that’s incredibly tender and falls off the bone—perfect for an easy hands-off dinner.

Do you want me to provide that slow cooker version?
