🍌 Banana Bread

Banana bread is a moist, sweet quick bread made with ripe bananas. It’s a comforting snack or breakfast treat, often enjoyed plain, with nuts, or chocolate chips.

🛒 Ingredients (Makes 1 loaf)

  • 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar (or brown sugar for deeper flavor)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat Oven

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2️⃣ Mix Dry Ingredients

  • In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.

3️⃣ Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in eggs one at a time.
  • Stir in mashed bananas and vanilla extract.

4️⃣ Combine

  • Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  • Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.

5️⃣ Bake

  • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let cool in the pan 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

🌟 Tips

  • Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for maximum sweetness and flavor.
  • Don’t overmix the batter — this keeps the bread tender.
  • Store wrapped at room temperature for 2–3 days or freeze for longer storage.
  • Optional: sprinkle brown sugar or cinnamon on top before baking for a caramelized crust.

I can also give you a moist, one-bowl banana bread recipe or a banana chocolate chip version if you want.
