🥔 Perfect Baked Potato

Ingredients

  • Large russet potatoes
  • Olive oil
  • Salt (coarse or kosher is best)
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon, chives, pepper

Oven Method (Best Texture)

1️⃣ Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
2️⃣ Wash & dry potatoes well.
3️⃣ Pierce each potato 4–5 times with a fork.
4️⃣ Rub lightly with olive oil and sprinkle generously with salt.
5️⃣ Bake directly on oven rack (or on a tray) for 45–60 minutes, until skin is crisp and a knife slides in easily.
6️⃣ Fluff: Slice open, squeeze ends gently, add toppings.

Microwave (fastest):

  • Cook 5–6 minutes, flip halfway.
  • Finish in oven 10 minutes for crispy skin.

Air Fryer:

  • 400°F (200°C), 35–40 minutes, flip halfway.
