Classic Baked Potato 🥔🔥
Simple, fluffy inside, crispy skin outside—perfect as a side or loaded with toppings.


🧾 Ingredients (per potato)

  • 1 large russet potato
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, bacon bits, chives

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Preheat oven

  • Set oven to 425°F (220°C).

2️⃣ Prepare potatoes

  • Scrub potatoes clean and pat dry.
  • Rub with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.

3️⃣ Bake

  • Place directly on oven rack or a baking sheet.
  • Bake 45–60 minutes, until skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the center.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Slice open the top, fluff the inside with a fork.
  • Add your favorite toppings.

  • Microwave shortcut: Microwave potato 5–8 minutes per side, then crisp in oven for 5–10 minutes.
  • Extra flavor: Rub skin with garlic powder or paprika before baking.
