🧾 Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz / ~425 g each) baked beans or navy beans (drained if plain)
- 4 slices beef or turkey bacon, chopped (optional)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp molasses (optional but adds deep flavor)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven
- Set oven to 350°F (175°C).
2️⃣ Cook bacon and onion
- In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until slightly crispy.
- Add chopped onion and cook until soft.
3️⃣ Mix ingredients
- In a baking dish, combine:
- Beans
- Cooked bacon and onions
- Ketchup
- Brown sugar
- Mustard
- Molasses
- Garlic powder, salt, and pepper
- Stir well.
4️⃣ Bake
- Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes until thick and bubbly.
