🥧 Apple Pie

🍎 Ingredients
For the Pie Crust
- 2½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar

- 6 cups apples, peeled and sliced

1️⃣ Make the Pie Dough
- Mix flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl.
- Add cold butter and cut it into the flour until crumbly.
- Add ice water gradually until dough comes together.
- Divide into two discs, wrap, and chill 30 minutes.
2️⃣ Prepare the Filling
- In a large bowl combine:
- sliced apples
- sugar
- flour
- cinnamon
- nutmeg
- lemon juice
- vanilla
- Mix until apples are well coated.
3️⃣ Assemble the Pie
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out one dough disc and place in a 9-inch pie dish.
- Add apple filling and dot with butter.
- Roll out the second dough and place over the top.
- Seal edges and cut small slits for steam.
4️⃣ Bake
- Bake 45–55 minutes until crust is golden brown.
- Let cool for at least 2 hours so the filling sets.
