Here’s a simple and moist Apple Cake recipe—soft, flavorful, and perfect with tea or coffee 🍎🍰

🍎 Ingredients

Dry Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Wet Ingredients:

  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup milk or yogurt

Add-ins:

  • 2–3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped or grated
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

🍳 Method

  1. Preheat Oven: 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter & Sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs & Vanilla: Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.
  5. Combine Wet & Dry: Gradually add dry ingredients alternating with milk/yogurt. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in Apples: Gently fold in chopped/grated apples and nuts (if using).
  7. Bake: Pour batter into pan and bake 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool & Serve: Let cool slightly, dust with powdered sugar if desired, and slice.

💡 Tips

  • Use tart apples (like Granny Smith) for balanced sweetness.
  • Add a drizzle of caramel on top for extra indulgence.
  • Can be baked as cupcakes for individual servings.
