Here’s a classic, fluffy pancake recipe — perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a weekend treat.

🥞 Classic Pancakes (Makes ~8–10 pancakes)

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 3½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1¼ cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tbsp melted butter (plus extra for cooking)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

1️⃣ Mix dry ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.

2️⃣ Mix wet ingredients

  • In another bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.

3️⃣ Combine

  • Pour wet ingredients into dry. Stir gently until just combined — batter should be slightly lumpy. Do not overmix.

4️⃣ Cook pancakes

  • Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grease lightly with butter.
  • Pour about ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, edges look set (2–3 minutes), then flip and cook another 1–2 minutes until golden brown.

5️⃣ Serve

  • Serve warm with butter, maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.

🔥 Tips for Fluffy Pancakes

  • Let batter rest 5–10 minutes before cooking.
  • Use buttermilk instead of milk for extra tender, tangy pancakes.
  • Add-ins: blueberries, chocolate chips, or banana slices fold in gently.

I can also give you:

  • Vegan pancakes
  • Fluffy Japanese-style pancakes
  • Oatmeal or whole wheat pancakes
