Here’s a classic, easy Beans and Franks recipe — a simple, comforting dish that’s quick to make.


🌭 Beans and Franks

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 1 can (15 oz) baked beans or chili beans
  • 6–8 hot dogs or frankfurters, sliced into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 small onion, diced (optional)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup or tomato sauce (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 tsp mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

1️⃣ Sauté (Optional)

  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions until soft (about 3–4 minutes).

2️⃣ Add Beans & Franks

  • Add sliced hot dogs and canned beans to the skillet.
  • Stir in ketchup and mustard if using.

3️⃣ Simmer

  • Cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until hot and bubbly.

4️⃣ Serve

  • Serve warm as-is or over rice, toast, or baked potatoes.

Tips & Variations

  • Cheesy version: Sprinkle shredded cheddar on top before serving.
  • Spicy kick: Add a dash of hot sauce or smoked paprika.
  • Sweet and smoky: Stir in a little barbecue sauce or brown sugar.
  • Slow cooker: Combine all ingredients and cook on low 2–3 hours for hands-off convenience.
