Here’s a crispy, flavorful chicken wings recipe you can make at home — oven method (super crispy without deep frying).


🍗 Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Wings

Ingredients (Serves 4)

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats & drumettes)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika

🔥 Instructions

1️⃣ Prep

  • Pat wings very dry with paper towels (this is key for crispiness).
  • Toss with baking powder and seasonings until evenly coated.

2️⃣ Bake

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Place wings on a wire rack over a baking sheet (for air circulation).
  • Bake 45–50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

🥣 Sauce Options

🔥 Classic Buffalo

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)

Warm and toss wings until coated.

🍯 Honey Garlic

  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp water

Simmer until thick, then coat wings.

🍋 Lemon Pepper

  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1–2 tsp lemon pepper seasoning

Toss and serve.


💡 Extra Crispy Tips

  • Let wings sit uncovered in the fridge 1–2 hours before baking (dries the skin).
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan.
  • Broil 2–3 minutes at the end for extra crunch.
